High Performance
Multi-Element Laser Objective Lenses
This series of objective lenses has been
specifically designed for laser beam delivery systems requiring
diffraction limited performance and small spot sizes. All of the lenses
feature a large clear aperture (low F#), which permits them to be used
with expanded beams. All are air spaced multi-element assemblies,
optimized through computer design, and are constructed of high damage
optical materials. Each assembly is highly damage resistant A/R coated
to minimize loss of power and contrast. Two lens types are available,
apochromats and aplanats. The apochromats are unquestionably the finest
objectives available for high power laser beam delivery, when high
resolution coaxial CCTV viewing is used. They combine the apochromatic
color correction found in the highest quality microscope objectives
with the focusing performance and damage resistance required for high
powered lasers. They are ideally suited for precision laser
micromachining and other demanding applications. When viewing
resolution is less critical, the aplanats offer an economical
alternative. The two element fused silica design minimizes spherical
aberrations and coma, allowing diffraction limited performance. These
lenses give vastly superior performance compared to conventional and
"best form" single element lenses. Maximum benefit from these lenses
can be derived by using them with U.S. Laser's high quality
upcollimators and beam delivery systems with integral coaxial CCTV
viewing (N1001 Series). Special lens design and fabrication is also
available, contact U.S. Laser sales department.

Single Element
Best Form And Plano Convex Lenses
These lenses are available either plano-convex or
"best form" , which provides the best possible aberration correction
for a single element lens. All lenses are fused silica and high damage
resistant A/R coated for use at 1064 nm. Consult sales for coatings at
other wavelengths. 1" dia. lenses are also available mounted in a
1.375" dia. black anodized cell with 1.125-32 threads; 1.75" dia.
lenses are available in a 2.00" dia. black anodized cell with 1.750"-32
threads, add "-M" to the part number. Consult sales for availability of
coatingsat other wavelengths.
