Full Frame Micromachining System Benchtop Resistor Trimming System

U.S. Laser offers turnkey systems, both standard and custom, for most materials processing applications, including:

Micromachining (ablating, scribing, cutting, drilling) of materials such as silicon, GaAs, kapton, ceramics, ferrite, CVD diamond, flat panel displays.
Welding (seam and spot, including hermetic sealing) of electronic packages, bellows, medical devices, sensors, and metals up to 1/8" thick.
Cutting of metals up to 1/4" thick

1000 Watt Laser - Optical Rail

U.S. Laser offers the widest range of Nd:YAG lasers in the industry, including CW, pulsed, Q-switched, and frequency multiplied models. All utilize our single-lamp-per-head design for high efficiency, and are ruggedized for use in industrial environments. Our product range includes:

Beam Delivery Systems

U.S. Laser offers state-of-the-art beam delivery systems, both conventional and fiber optic

Conventional

Our conventional beam delivery system includes the following features:

Integrated CCTV Viewing. The TV image is both coaxial and parfocal to the focused laser spot, eliminating the need for a spotting laser.
Computer-designed optics, which combine diffraction-limited performance and apochromatic color correction for minimized spot size and high resolution viewing
Independent control of spot size and viewing magnification

Systems are available for nearly all UV/Visible/Near IR lasers, including solid state and argon.

Fiber Optic

High Performance Fiber Optic Beam Delivery is now available for our entire line of Nd:YAG lasers, and can be adapted to most other solid state lasers as well. Developed with support from an SBIR grant from Eglin AFB, the system offers unparalleled performance in terms of transmission and beam quality. The system is modular, and is configured for specific laser/process combinations, with the following possibilities:

High Transmission ( > 98% through the entire optical train)
Beam Profile Shaping, to match the needs of the process
Beam Quality Preservation, for both low and high M² lasers
Small end effector, for easy integration with robotics and production equipment
Modular design, with interchangeable components (realignment not required)
Optional coaxial CCTV viewing
Options include multiple beam systems (both energy- and time-sharing) and long fibers (> 100 meters)

Spare Parts and Accessories

Over the past 18 years, U.S. Laser has often developed laser accessories for integration into its systems. Because of our mechanical rail design (compatible with Holobeam, Control Laser, Lee Laser and similar lasers), most of these accessories are now available for use with other lasers and systems. These include:

Attenuators, including manual, motorized, and power feedback controlled
Polarizers, both intracavity and extracavity
Upcollimators with either fixed or zoom ratios
Spatial Filter Assemblies with various aperture sizes
Objective Lenses, with diffraction limited performance and apochromatic correction
Specialty Control Electronics

We also carry a full line of spare parts. In addition to common items, such as lamps, flow tubes, mirrors, etc., we manufacture high performance modules for system upgrading. These include:

Replacement Laser Heads, offering higher power and/or better beam quality
Frequency Doubling and Quadrupling Assemblies, and optics designed for the visible and UV wavelengths
Q-switching Modules, with high performance controller and RF driver
