| U.S.
Laser designs and builds turnkey laser material processing systems
for production environments, combining accuracy and precision with
stability and ruggedness. The system concept is to utilize standard
building blocks to produce custom machines. These standard building
blocks are the laser, beam delivery optics, multi-axis motion with
control system, and the frame and enclosure structure. In addition to
systems built with U.S. Laser lamp pumped Nd:YAG lasers, U.S.
Laser also supplies systems built with diode pumped lasers manufactured
by other suppliers like Spectra-Physics, Coherent, and Lee
Laser.

Power CW Multimode Lasers: |
| At the
heart of U.S. Laser’s high power CW multi-mode laser is our unique
laser head design. The head is a single lamp, close coupled design,
optimized for maximum pumping efficiency and high beam quality. The
single lamp design reduces consumable costs, while the high efficiency
reduces energy and cooling requirements. High beam quality allows
for
smaller focused spot size and high
power density at the target. U.S. Laser’s high power CW lasers,
by virtue of their high efficiency single lamp design, offer an
economical solution to many welding,
cutting, heat
treating and
metal deposition
applications. The head design allows for cascading of heads in a series
periodic resonator. Single, two-headed and four-headed systems are
available.

| U.S. Laser’s low order multi-mode laser offer
superior beam quality for smaller focused spot size and higher power density
at the target. They are ideal for soldering applications and precision
welding and cutting. They are also offered in Q-switched
configurations.

| Laser Marking
Systems |
|
| Designed
for industrial environments, U.S. Laser’s laser markers are rugged systems
that can be expected to operate for years with little maintenance beyond
periodic lamp replacement. U.S. Laser offers turnkey systems as well as a
variety of OEM configurations. With
a high speed galvanometer beam steering system and minimum line width less
than0.002" you can print characters of nearly any size at speeds up to
several hundred character per second. Standard
flat field lens sizes include 4 inch square, 6 inch square and 12 inch square.
Graphics as well as alphanumeric characters in any orientation are possible.
The Autolase 2000 Windows 95/98 or NT based software
is easy to use, and provides for on screen display, positioning, sizing and
orientation of all characters. Serialization and bar coding can be managed as
well. Marking Applications

| U.S. Laser offers a
variety of power levels in 532 nm frequency doubled Nd:YAG lasers. We also
offer frequency tripled and quadrupled ultra-violet lasers. Frequency
multiplying assemblies are rail mounted for ease of insertion into beam
path, allowing for rapid change-over between the available output
frequencies. These systems offer high power and stability for micro-machining,
scribing, photovoltaic panel processing,
and drilling
applications.

| Pulsed
Lasers: |

|
| U.S. Laser's pulsed
lasers are designed with small beam diameters and low
divergence to deliver exceptional high brightness for welding
and
drilling
applications. Simmer mode power supplies provide extended lamp life and
excellent pulse-to-pulse stability.

| Special Purpose Laser Systems |
|
|
U.S. Laser specializes in building systems for specialized applications.
We are experts in designing and building custom conventional and fiber
optic beam delivery systems to focus and shape the laser beam.
Motion systems are an integral part of any turn-key system, and we offer
both fixed and moving beam systems based on x-y tables and
galvanometers. Multiple axes and complex computer controlled
motion is not a problem. All systems are built around a rigid
welded steel frame structure to provide the stability demanded of an
industrial system. Since U.S. Laser builds all of it's own lasers,
we can even custom design modify and existing laser to accommodate even
the most demanding application. Shown to the right is a typical
custom system designed for sealing parts in vacuum system. |
